Sophia Lamoš
Soloist
Sophia Lamoš is a Czech jazz singer born in Austria. In 2010 she moved to Prague, where she soon became involved in the Czech music scene. One of her first successes was a solo performance with the Prague Film Orchestra at the Rudolfinum in Prague in 2012. Soon she and her sister formed the swing band HOT SISTERS. With this band they released the CD “Swing is my king”, sang and played in the film Lída Baarová and now they are collaborating with Petr Kroutil and his Original Vintage Orchestra. Their professional history also includes collaborations with international singers such as Lorenzo Thompson (Chicago) and Chuck Wansely (Los Angeles).
Hendrik Nehls

One could mention that Hendrik Nehls has received instruction from giants like Ron Carter, Buster Williams, and George Mraz. It could also be noted that he has shared the stage with Roy Hargroove, Nigel Kennedy, Jean Luc Ponty, and Antonio Sanchez. To him it's not that important.
However, what's important, is that since 2006, Hendrik Nehls has been a driving force in the Berlin jazz scene. His absolute love for jazz and swing leads him to wake up in the morning and practice, to have played several thousand concerts in more than 20 countries around the world, and to constantly create new bands and concert series - indeed, to "stay on the scene like a loving machine".
Simona Turk
Saxophonist
Since graduating from the Jazz Institute Berlin in 2016, Simona Turk has become a distinctive voice within Berlin’s vibrant jazz scene. She performs regularly on the city’s leading stages and is equally in demand in the international event circuit.
Her career has taken her across Europe and China, performing on international tours, and since 2020 she has been a permanent member of the Berlin Police Orchestra. A two-time recipient of the Slovenian Jazz Award, Simona combines refined technique with a warm, expressive tone and a deep artistic sensitivity — bringing both elegance and energy to every performance.
Kenneth Berkel
Pianist, Komponist
Born in Berlin in 1996, Kenneth Berkel began playing piano at the age of six. After classical training, he turned to jazz at ten and later studied jazz piano at the Jazz Institute Berlin with Prof. Wolfgang Köhler and Tino Derado, alongside classical piano studies.
He performs as a pianist and composer in various ensembles, including the Torsten Zwingenberger 4tet and the Big Band of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. In 2022, he accompanied the musical “That’s Life – The Frank Sinatra Story” and has been part of the Bad Hersfeld Festival orchestra since the same year. He has collaborated with renowned artists and performed for the Federal President of Germany.
A former scholarship holder of Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Berlin (2018–2023), Kenneth has contributed to multiple album productions and released his debut jazz quartet album “Perfection” in 2022 under Mons Records.
Dexter Stanley-Tauvao
Drums
Dexter Stanley-Tauvao is a Sāmoan drummer, composer, and educator from Wellington, New Zealand. He graduated with First Class Honours in Jazz from the New Zealand School of Music and later received a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to complete a Master’s degree in Jazz Studies at the Aaron Copland School of Music in New York City.
In the U.S., he performed nationwide, including debuts at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center’s Geffen Hall, and the Louis Armstrong House Museum, where he premiered the first Asia-Pacific Jazz Orchestra. He later joined the GRAMMY Award-winning Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra under Arturo O’Farrill.
Dexter has performed across Europe, Asia, the U.S., and the Pacific region, collaborating with renowned jazz artists. Passionate about big band and straight-ahead jazz, he is equally inspired by Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, country, and folk traditions. Alongside his international performing career, he leads the Asia-Pacific Jazz Orchestra and works as an educator worldwide, teaching students of all ages since 2015.
